Red/Green Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

So I posted a photo of the Green Velvet Cake recently on my facebook page.

I have made this cake thrice already. Once in green and twice in red. Every time I have got great praises for it. Its taste and texture is different from normal cakes we bake at home. It is really soft and not very overpoweringly sweet. I make this cake for special occasions only.

Google Image: This is how a red velvet looks like. I don't however add the center layer of cream.

Now I am sharing my recipe with you guys. I found it online but since I  have tried it already you guys can trust this one :) There are a million recipes online but you cant be sure whether they'll work or fail.

his quantity depends on which type of colours you are using. Good gel colours are sufficient in little amounts like one or two teaspoons but the ones available in Pakistan are not that good.)
>Apple Sauce     3/4 cups
***(Apple sauce recipe: Take two apples peel them and remove the seeds. Now blend them with 3 Tbsp water and make a paste)***
>Butter Milk     1 Cup
***(Butter Milk: You can make it yourself. Put one Tbsp fresh lemon juice in a cup and add normal milk to it and let it stand for 10 minutes. It changes its consistency and that's when you get your butter milk)***

Flour          2 1/2 cups

6. Using a spatula fold it in slowly.
7. Now put the rest of Mixture A and fold it too.
