Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream

Winters are finally here and for girls with extremely dry skin that is never a welcoming news. I wanted to be prepared for the winters. I was looking for a cream that came in a large packaging preferably a tub or a jar with SPF 30 or higher. Well I couldn't get the SPF part but at least I got a big jar of moisturizer.

It comes in a plastic tub pack with a green cap. It was sealed with a foil. The packaging is really basic stuff. Nothing fancy going on here! Mine is 150ml tub with 33% extra so 200ml.
                

                      
This cream is meant for the whole body so feel free to moisturize your arms and legs.
The cream is not runny at all and has a thick consistency. It is very absorbent. I love the non-greasy formula. It does not sit heavily on the skin. It absorbs fairly quickly making it an ideal moisturizer.
The all day moisturizer claim did not work for me since my skin gets very dry in winters. I re apply the cream after 6-8 hours.

I does not give out a strong odour. It has a soft smell to it if you observe closely.

Its main ingredients are Aloe Vera, Winter Cherry and Indian Kino Tree."
                   

Some people may dislike the jar packaging but I like it. It makes it travel friendly.

I can't speak for the oily skinned girls but for girls with dry skin it works good. It hasn't caused any breakouts so far.

I wish they would do something about the SPF part :(

Revlon Lip Butter-Raspberry Pie

                     

Revlon's lip butters were all the rage almost a year ago when each and every blogger and   makeup user went gaga for it. Since it was not an official launch in Pakistan every store and facebook page had its own price. I was lucky enough to get it at the most unbelievably low price but I'll get to that later.

I got the shade Raspberry Pie. It is the most pigmented shade out of all. Its a berry pink shade and like all the other shades in the collection it applies sheer too.It is an ideal shade for Pakistani skin tones I believe. The cute thing about the lip butters are the names. All of the shades are named after  some dessert. In fact I also like the name 'lip butter' Sounds so foodilicious
               
                      

010-Raspberry Pie

The lasting power as stated by most bloggers is 6 hours but on me they don't last more than 3 hours but that's just me. I cant make my lipstick to last long.
I love the glossy sheen it has and I don't have to use a lip gloss with it. It won't emphasize on your fine line and dryness. It does not bleed so another plus.

The packaging:
                       The packaging is pretty attractive. The tube is shiny silver with the cap having a nice design with the color of each cap corresponding with the shade. The packaging makes it pretty easy to spot. The cap does not open easily so its safe to toss it in your bag when you are on the go.

It is available at most facebook pages and online stores like Beauty Arena and Just4Girls.
Every one has different price ranging from 900 to 1200 PKR.
I got it for Rs 770 only at BeautyinBudget4U at a time when everyone else was selling it for at least a 1000.

Store Review Beauty Arena

Hey

       Today I will tell you about an online cosmetics store that I found almost one and a half year ago. It was around the time when I had just started out on makeup. This store is Beauty Arena but at that time it went by the name of Mascara Mafia. Personally I liked the previous name better.

Coming to my review the first thing I liked about them was FREE DELIVERY! Who can resist that? Since I always pay via banks or Easy Paisa their  offer of free delivery really impressed me. 

The staff has always been responsive and very prompt with their replies. They were always cordial and I never had to face any behavioral problems.

Delivery wasn't delayed even once ever! Last year I was ordering almost every month and not a single shipment delayed . I hate placing an order and waiting for days for it to arrive.

They have a lot of brands like Catrice, Karaja, Color Studio, Rimmel, Milani Himalaya Herbals etc. Check it all on the website 

I do wish they would add more economical brands like MUA and Essence specially. I do wish to see more variety of US drugstore brands and high end brands too.

Rimmel Lipstick

      I hope you are enjoying my posts :)

      I am going the classic route this time and talking about an amazing red lipstick that I own. Its an absolute gorgeous color. This is Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 01 or to give it a spin 'Rouge Noire'I just love saying the name.

Its an amazing blue toned red I tell you.


The formula is neither hydrating nor drying.So don't expect it to have moisturizing qualities. It's just a lip color.
It does have a scent to it which sometimes bothers me but mostly I don't care for it and sometimes I like it. Weird I know but who doesn't have mood swings right??

On to the packaging I like it because it stands out. Its black and who doesn't love black ?? The cap is signed n says Kate in maroon. I like the whole thing.

The pigmentation is very good and you don't need to layer it up to get a good colour pay off. It has a good lasting power, it stays for around 4 hours without too much eating and drinking. It has a slightly glossy finish it has a slight sheen to it which for me is a plus. It may look brownish red itself but when you apply it the color is strictly  a blue based red.

Let me tell you a little personal secret. This was my first ever red and I haven't gone back since. It looks amazing n I get many compliments because of it :) So if you are scared of wearing red you must try this one, you wont regret it. I haven't!!
Here's my tip for making bold colours work for you. Apply a concealer around your lips n pat it with your fingers. Then apply a foundation on your lips, do this with a light hand. Use a lip brush to apply the lipstick and be careful while working around the corners of your lips. Tada!! Rock that red lip
PS red lip looks best when you go light on your eye makeup :P 

Ignore the straightener burn :p
